WELLMAN – Sands picked up its first win of the season against non-district opponent Wellman-Union at Wildcat Stadium Friday night.

Landon Morrow led the Mustangs (1-4) in passing with 110 yards and two touchdowns, while Alex Martinez added 90 yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns.

Sands led the Wildcats (2-3) 20-18 at halftime, before pulling away in the second half.
